The Mardi Himal Trek is a brief and straightforward journey set in the highly sought-after Annapurna Region. En route to Mardi Himal, you'll encounter breathtaking mountain views and scenic landscapes. For those who prefer tranquil environments, this trek is an ideal choice. It also offers splendid vistas of Mount Annapurna, Mount Machapuchhre, Mount Hiunchuli, and more. Throughout the Mardi route, you'll come across uncomplicated guesthouses and homestays.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and Hotel Transfer
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, our local leader will be there to greet you, provide airport transfer, and accompany you to the hotel. The day involves minimal activities, allowing you to rest at the hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the various restaurants in Thamel for dinner. If fatigue sets in, dining at the hotel and getting a good rest to overcome jetlag is also an option.
Day 02: Drive/Fly to Pokhara
Embark on a scenic bus ride to Pokhara, a journey of approximately 7 hours covering 200 km through the Nepali countryside along the Trishuli River. Upon checking into the hotel, explore the lakeside area and enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants and shops. (Breakfast & Lunch)
Day 03: Drive to Phedi and Trek to Pothana (2100m)
After breakfast at your hotel, we drive to Phedi and commence our trek. The journey involves walking on stone steps, terraced fields, passing through villages, and forests before reaching Dhampus for lunch. The trek continues to Pothana, a small village strategically located on a ridge offering good mountain views. (Overnight in Pothana.)
Day 04: Trek from Pothana to Forest Camp (2500m)
Our trek begins with a half-hour walk through a road dotted with a pine forest until reaching a clearing at the forest camp. The trail meanders through the forest, known locally as Kokar. Explore the area and spend the night in a simple tea house. (Overnight in Forest Camp.)
Day 05: Trek from Forest Camp to Middle Camp (3310m)
Today's trek takes us through dense forests, showcasing Nepal's rich biodiversity, and leads us to the middle camp. The fantastic view of Mt. Machapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) up the valley is mesmerizing. (Overnight in Middle Camp)
Day 06: Trek from Middle Camp to High Camp (3620m)
With a short walk today to an altitude above 3000 meters, we recommend staying hydrated. If lucky, we might spot the Daphne pheasant (national bird of Nepal) on our way to the high camp. Upon reaching the high camp, enjoy mountain views and spend the night.
Day 07: Hike to Mardi Base Camp and Overnight at High Camp
Today, wake up early to witness the sunrise over the mountains. Hike to the Mardi Base Camp, where you'll see stunning views of Mardi Himal (5587m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Annapurna I (8091m), Tent Peak (5695m), and more. Return to the high camp for an overnight stay.
Day 08: Trek from High Camp to Siding Village (1280m)
Experience the precious morning sunrise at Siding Village, offering a peaceful stay away from busier trails. Check in at a tea house and spend the night.
Day 09: Siding Village to Pokhara
Trek back to Pokhara. After lunch, explore Pokhara, renowned for its scenic beauty. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Drive or Fly Back from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Choose either surface transport or a flight for the return journey to Kathmandu from Pokhara. In the evening, join Nepal Dream Path Trek’s farewell dinner to share trek experiences.
Day 11: Final Departure
According to your international flight time, our staff will transfer you to the airport for your departure, concluding your memorable trek in the high Himalayan country of Nepal.
