Throughout the expedition, we encounter various highlights, including visits to the enchanting monasteries of Tengboche, Pangboche, and Khumjung. The itinerary includes a stop at the Everest View Hotel, the world's highest elevated hotel, providing a unique perspective on the surrounding beauty. Delving into the culture of the renowned Sherpas, we gain insights into their traditions and the chance to walk up to an altitude of 5400 meters. The panoramic view of Everest from Kala Patthar is a highlight of the journey. The adventure commences with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla on a small twin-engine aircraft, marking the beginning of our trek.

 Day 1: (Elevation: 300m)

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our team will greet you and facilitate your transfer to the hotel. You will receive a detailed briefing about Kathmandu city and the upcoming trek.

 

Day 2: Kathmandu (Optional Day)

Take this optional day for sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley and prepare for the next day's trek departure. Our guide or office staff will provide a program briefing and check your trekking gear.

 

Day 3: Fly to Lukla (Elevation: 2800m)

Catch an early morning flight to Lukla, a journey lasting approximately 35 to 40 minutes. This airstrip, constructed by Sir Edmund Hillary, offers marvelous views of the Eastern Himalayas. As we descend towards the Dudh Kosi, a powerful river originating from the highest peaks, the trek officially begins. The trail passes through picturesque villages and fields, leading us to the village of Phakding for our first overnight stop.

 

Mani walls, engraved with the Buddhist mantra "Om mani padme hum," mark our journey today. These stone structures are revered by Buddhists, who walk to the left as they pass them. Our trek provides a glimpse into the Sherpa culture and their unique practices.

 

Day 4: Namche Bazaar (Elevation: 3440m)

A 3-4 hour walk takes us across the Dudh Kosi, through the Sagarmatha National Park gates. The park aims to conserve the area's resources, allowing only authorized wood cutting for personal use. The ascent to Namche Bazaar is challenging but rewards us with our first view of Mt. Everest. This prosperous Sherpa village nestled in a horseshoe-shaped valley is a sight to behold.

 

Day 5: Rest Day in Namche

This rest day is crucial for acclimatization. Explore the Sagarmatha National Park Headquarters for a display of photographs and information. The change from narrow lowland valleys to broad glacial ones is evident, offering a spectacular view towards Everest.

 

Day 6: Thyangboche (Elevation: 3870m)

A 5-6 hour walk through rhododendron forests brings us to Thyangboche. The trail winds around ridges with clear views of Everest on the horizon. Passing through a traditional gateway, we reach the monastery village of Thyangboche. Sir Edmund Hillary assisted in rebuilding the monastery, and our leader will arrange a tour, explaining the ceremonies and the monks' life. The stunning views of the Everest massif make this a memorable stop.

 

Day 7: Khumjung (Elevation: 3753m)

Trek back to Khumjung, a small Sherpa village where Sir Edmund Hillary established a High School and a hospital. Visit the Khumjung Monastery, which houses the reputed Yeti's scalp.

 

Day 8: Trek to Monzo

Trek to Monzo via Everest View Hotel and Namche Bazaar. Take the opportunity to make calls or send emails from Namche Bazaar before heading back to Kathmandu.

 

Day 9: Trek to Lukla

Complete the last day of the trek with a half-day trek and relax in the afternoon.

 

Day 10: Fly to Kathmandu, Explore Thamel

Catch a flight to Kathmandu and explore the vibrant Thamel area.

 

Day 11: Leisure Day in Kathmandu

Enjoy a leisure day in Kathmandu, with the option to visit places like Patan and Bhaktapur.

 

Day 12: Trip Includes Transfer to Airport
