Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a Footprint Adventure representative will welcome you and escort you to your hotel in Kathmandu.

After check-in, take some time to relax and acclimate to the local time. In the afternoon, explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, Kathmandu's famous tourist district. In the evening, meet your guide for a pre-trek briefing, where you'll go over the trek's route, logistics, safety procedures, and what to expect during the adventure.

Day 2: UNESCO World Heritage Site Tour

After breakfast, you'll embark on a guided tour of Kathmandu's UNESCO World Heritage Sites in a private vehicle. The tour includes:

  • Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple)
  • Pashupatinath Temple (Holiest Hindu site and cremation area)
  • Boudhanath Stupa (One of Asia’s largest stupas)
  • Patan Durbar Square (Historic Royal Palace Complex)

In the evening, enjoy a special Welcome Dinner at Bhojan Griha, featuring traditional Nepalese cuisine and cultural performances. You'll also have a pre-trek briefing to prepare for your Annapurna Base Camp adventure.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara

After checking out from your hotel in Kathmandu, you'll either take a scenic drive along the Trishuli River in a private vehicle or tourist bus (7-8 hours) or opt for a quick 25-minute flight to Pokhara.

Upon arrival, explore Pokhara’s vibrant streets, sample local cuisine around Phewa Lake, and consider a sunset kayak tour or visit Devi's Falls for a bit of adventure.

Return to the hotel early to rest and prepare for the next day's journey.

Day 4: Drive to Nayapul & Trek to Ulleri Village

Following breakfast, we will travel to Nayapul (1,070m), the trek's starting point, which is a 1.5-hour bus ride away.

Our adventure kicks off with a moderate trek through picturesque villages and terraced fields, offering stunning views of the Annapurna Ranges.

The trek will lead us to Ulleri Village (2,070m), nestled in the rolling hills.

We will spend the night in Ulleri Village.

Day 5: Trek to Ghorepani Village

Today's trek is a moderate hike through lush forests, where the fresh mountain breeze and diverse flora and fauna create a refreshing experience.

Along the way, you might see Himalayan mule caravans transporting supplies to the teahouses and meet other trekkers on the trail.

The trek will lead us to the charming Ghorepani Village (2,874m), nestled among towering mountains.

We will spend the night in Ghorepani Village.

Day 6: Hike to Poon Hill Viewpoint & Descend to Tadapani

We'll start the day early with a pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill (3,210m), renowned for its breathtaking sunrise that casts the Annapurna range in brilliant colors. From here, you can admire iconic peaks such as Annapurna I (8,091m), Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak, 6,997m), and Dhaulagiri (8,167m).

After soaking in the stunning views and capturing unforgettable memories, we'll descend to Tadapani (2,675m).

We'll spend the night in Tadapani.

Day 7: Trek to Chhomrong Village

Today's descent (from 2,675m to 2,130m) is filled with exciting features such as suspension bridges spanning active rivers, vibrant rhododendron forests, and cascading waterfalls.

You might also catch glimpses of colorful birds, including Nepal's national bird, the Himalayan Monal.

Our trek will lead us to the picturesque village of Chhomrong, where you can enjoy stunning views of snowy peaks like Annapurna South (7,219m) and Himchuli (6,441m).

We will spend the night in Chhomrong.

Day 8: Trek to Himalaya Village

After breakfast, we'll hike toward Himalaya Village (2,950m), a serene spot with breathtaking mountain views and a comfortable resting area.

We'll traverse stone steps while enjoying a refreshing mountain breeze and the beautiful Annapurna landscape. Along the way, you can stop at local teahouses to try and purchase yak cheese.

We'll spend the night in Himalaya Village.

Day 9: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp via Machapuchhre Base Camp

A gradual ascent will bring us to Machapuchhre Base Camp, where you can enjoy close-up views of the iconic Fishtail Peak (6,997 meters).

As we continue, the trail broadens and the vegetation diminishes, leading us up to Annapurna Base Camp.

We will reach our main destination, Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) (4,130 meters), surrounded by towering peaks such as Annapurna I (8,091 meters) and Gangapurna (7,455 meters). The 360-degree panorama of the Annapurna Sanctuary—a horseshoe-shaped valley encircled by majestic mountains—will be truly awe-inspiring. Take this opportunity to acclimatize to the high altitude and soak in the stunning scenery.

We will spend the night at Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 10: Trek Back to Bamboo/Upper Sinuwa Village

Retracing our steps, we will trek back to Bamboo (2,310m), with the impressive Annapurna South (7,219m) in view throughout the journey.

We will spend the night either in Bamboo (2,310m) or Upper Sinuwa (2,360m). Both locations are popular among trekkers and are known for their traditional guesthouses.

Day 11: Trek to Jhinu Danda

Today's trek takes us uphill to Kuldighar (2,430 meters) before we descend to Chhomrong Khola (Modikhola River) at 1,800 meters.

From there, we'll climb up the stone steps to Chhomrong (2,170 meters) and then make our way down to Jhinu Danda (1,780 meters), where we will spend the night.

Day 12: Trek to Madkyu Village & Drive Back to Pokhara

Today's trek involves a final descent from 1,780 meters to 1,070 meters as we make our way back to Nayapul. We will pass through Madkyu, taking in the scenic hill landscapes of western Nepal. We'll stop for lunch at a traditional teahouse along the route.

A private vehicle will transport us back to Pokhara.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, you can explore the Phewa Lake area, visit cafes and bars, or relax by the lakeside to watch the sunset. Pokhara offers various adventure activities, including ziplining, paragliding, and hot air balloon rides, if you wish to continue the excitement.

Day 13: Drive Back to Kathmandu

With your trek concluded, you'll return to Kathmandu from Pokhara via tourist bus.

Overnight accommodation will be provided at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Alternatively, you can choose to fly to Kathmandu for an additional cost of USD 100.00 per person for a one-way flight.

Day 14: Departure Day

After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Kathmandu International Airport for your flight home.
